What follows is a description of common Eczema symptoms to help
you discover if you, or a loved one, is suffering from Eczema. Many
people, and even doctors, take Eczema to be a simple rash or skin wound
and treat it improperly. You should also be aware of whether or not you
may be contracting one of the more potent forms of Eczema, such as
Dyshidrosis Eczema. Also, keep in mind that if you already maintain a good, allergy free, diet then you may be dealing with frequent exposure to plant or substance your are allergic to (ie: Poison Ivy, grass, chemicals).
Here are the most common symptoms:
The first symptom of eczema is common; an intense itch.
After the initial itch, usually a rash will start to form. Typically red with flaky skin on top (sometimes bumpy as well).
The rash itches regularly and sometimes creates a burning sensation.
If it is being scratched, many times the rash will begin to ooze, puss and/or blood, and scab up with "cracking" throughout. It does not heal quickly.
Adults will likely develop thick, brownish, scabs on the rash with a scaly appearance.
Some cases will develop red lumps that have a "bubbly" appearance. Sometimes they also will appear clear or containing fluid. If these are itched, they may contribute to an, overall, wet or oily appearance. If this is concentrated on the hands or feet, you may have Dyshidrosis Eczema.
Severe and painful cracks will appear and set in over time.
Usually, the rashes manifest on extremities (hands, arms, legs, feet) or on the face since these are the most likely body parts to encounter allergens that provoke the rash. It is not uncommon, however, to also find the rash on the back or neck.
Sleep-loss is also common as itching tends to increase at night.
The
good news is, if you are suffering from a form of Eczema, that it has
been proven to be almost 100% allergy induced (the sensitivity may be
hereditary, but the rash is not!). The best way to stop Eczema symptoms is at its root. Using a corrective diet, which is very easy to implement, can cure Eczema in 14 days or less.
